Yesterday I had a great catch up with a long-standing customer who is also a supplier.
I really value our conversations because I always learn something and we have shared business values, especially around customer service.
One of the things we talked about yesterday was how powerful it was to simply do what you commit too, in other words be true to your word and keep your promises.
My customer believes if you do that you stand out from the crowd and I absolutely agree.
As a self-proclaimed “Champion of Customer Service” I believed for years that you had to wow your customers.
For a good while now I have realised that you do not have to wow them at all.
You just have to deliver your promises –
