The responsibility for this sits with us and you the sender.
You know your product better than we do, so we would not dream of teaching you to suck eggs on how you should package your consignments
However the rule of thumb is this “the better they are sent out the less likely damages occur”
As a same day courier a lot of the work we undertake is delivered direct from point A to point B, with no transhipping from van to van or putting your goods through a mechanised overnight parcel network.
This massively reduces insurance claims for damages, and means consignments land with at your delivery point in the same condition they were despatched.
In fact in the last 17 years we have had to deal with less than five insurance claims out of thousands of deliveries.
One was when a driver slipped and dropped the goods, the others were when the drivers braked and the goods became dislodged from the pallet.
Even more reason to ensure the banding on the pallets is nice and secure.
