I have recently been invited to an event by a supplier, which is taking place in Central Manchester.
The event looks great, and I know I will get value from it, but……..
The idea of the roadworks, and gridlock in Manchester are a deterrent.
This is compounded by the fact that I am a wheelchair user.
Trains are far from ideal; stations are not always geared up for the disabled commuter.
Lifts regularly not working, delayed trains etc
I would much rather drive.
So, as well as the roadworks and traffic.
I need to know, is there blue badge parking close to the venue?
Is the blue badge bay time restricted?
If all goes to plan and I get a parking space.
Can I get into the building?
Are their accessible loos?
So many questions
As a disabled commuter I plan ahead.
I am organised.
Usually, I ring the venue to ensure I can get in and use the loo if required.
Unfortunately, I could not find a contact number for this office.
I thought ok who in my network will probably know the answers I need to know?
I immediately thought of the lovely Joe Averill MD of LEVEL.
Now, I know that what Joe does not know about office space in Manchester is not worth knowing.
Within two minutes he came back to me and said the building was DDA compliant and there is plenty of parking in and around where I need to be
Easy Peasy!
Just like that Joe Averill solved my problem and eased my anxiousness.
