For those of you that know me well, you will know I have always had a disability called Cerebral Palsy that always to varying degrees affected my mobility.
Just before Xmas last year I decided to stop struggling and invest in a wheelchair to enable to get around places easier. I am very lucky in the fact that I do not have to use it all the time around the house and in the office, however it has benefitted me massively in other areas like now being able to go to Chester Zoo with my wife and son which would have been impossible before. I even enjoy shopping now due to being able to get round shops quicker and in no pain.
I can also get out and about visiting customers again for my business which is something I have really missed.
I would like to think that in the main I am quite a positive person so I have decided to really embrace the fact that I am now a part time wheelchair user and as such I have decided to challenge myself and enter a 10k race.
This race takes place on Sunday 16th September in Swansea, and I figured that If I am going to challenge myself I might as well do it for charity. I am looking to raise at least £1000.00 for Clare House which is a wonderful place set up to help seriously and terminally ill children create wonderful memories.
I would be massively grateful for any donations to help push me towards my target for this great place.
